Thanks for visiting my site! I started my journey with triathlon in the spring of 2010 and set out to try my hand at the sport of multiple sports. Initially, I was following a training plan that I found in a beginner triathlete book but soon after was put in touch with Coach Michelle LeBlanc through my brother’s friend. I knew instantly that I could learn a lot from her so I changed my training plan to put it all in her hands! My first race was in March of 2010 at a small sprint triathlon in Athens, Texas. After that, I was hooked!
With Coach Michelle’s help, I trained and raced hard for the rest of 2010 and in 2011, earned my pro license at the Kemah Triathlon in April. At the time, I was working for Deloitte which sometimes got a little tough to balance with the increased training load that I was aspiring to complete. In August 2011, I was able to go on a reduced workload so that I could train even more and hopefully make a decent pro debut. My first official pro debut was at the Dallas Toyota Open in September (talk about a humbling experience!). After that, I knew that I wanted to give going pro everything I have. I opted to leave my life as a public accountant and am now training and racing full time. I’m also coaching as part of the OutRival Racing team and serve as the Financial Manager for the team as well.
I hope to use this blog and website as a way to document my journey and adventures in all things triathlon. Additionally, I have so many wonderful supporters in my family, friends, coach, team, and sponsors. Thank you to each and everyone of you! I couldn’t do what I do without you. This is another way to give them much deserved appreciation and thanks. Enjoy!
